FastDoc Interlibrary Loan Service

How to Use FASTDoc:

The Interlibrary Loan Department is able to deliver interlibrary loan documents directly to your personal computer. Many of the documents that we receive from other libraries as the result of your Interlibrary Loan requests are delivered in electronic format as an Adobe Acrobat (PDF) document. These files produce higher quality printouts than faxed documents, and can be delivered in seconds instead of days.

Delivering documents over the network can save from 2-7 days or more over U.S. Mail, and save you a trip to the library to pickup your request. If you are interested in receiving documents in this fashion you must indicate that you would like to receive the document through your web browser when you submit your request, and you need to have Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer.

How to Receive an Electronic Document:

When your request is received it will be converted to ACROBAT format and placed on a web server at the library. You will then receive an email message that contains a link to a library web page and a password to enter on that page.

This page will request that you enter your email address and the password given to you in the email message. After you click the submit button, you will receive a list of all documents that have been received for you. Clicking on the link for a document will display that document in Adobe Acrobat on your PC automatically. You may then print or download the document.

After 5 viewings or 14 days these documents will be permanently removed from the server to conform with copyright regulations.
