Project Muse: Humanities, Social Sciences, and Mathematics Full text articles from the Web
by Stephen Cauffman

The CCSU Library now subscribes to Project Muse, an online database that features full text articles from Johns Hopkins University Press journals. Journal titles in the database include American Journal of Mathematics, ELH (English Literary History), Reviews in American History, Theatre Journal, World Politics, and The Review of Higher Education. The database also includes Postmodern Culture and Theory & Event, two electronic-only journals available exclusively through Project Muse.

You may browse or search through the journals. Browsing allows you to view tables of contents and background information on the publications. The guidelines for contributors section is particularly helpful for those thinking of submitting articles for publication. Searching allows you to query any number of journals at once. You can choose to search for articles in one or two journals, or from articles in all 40+ journals. For most journals, only the last two or three years are available in full-text, but more back issues are being added.

The URL for Project Muse is http://muse.jhu.edu/ To use this service, you must be on a computer that is on the CCSU campus network. Please feel free to call (ext. 22060) or visit the Reference Department on the third floor of the library if you have any questions about Project Muse.
