CONSULS, the Connecticut State University Library System has a new World
Wide Web interface. The new Web version integrates some of the most
popular features of the World Wide Web into the library's online catalog.
- Easier to navigate.
The new interface allows you to select
menu
options with the click of a mouse. This point and click method is much
easier for those who do not type well.
- Hypertext links.
The new interface allows us to include World
Wide Web material in the catalog. For example, if you search the library
catalog for the title A New Face for CONSULS you will see a record for
this article. On the record is a link that will take you directly to the
Web version of this article.
The URL for CONSULS WebPAC (Web Public Access Catalog) is
http://csulib.ctstateu.edu/.
Please call (ext. 22060) or visit the Reference Department in the library
if you have any questions or comments about CONSULS WebPAC.
NOTE: While CONSULS is available to anyone on the Internet, some
commercial databases, such as ABI Inform and Periodical Abstracts, are
available only to computers on the campus network. However, these
commercial databases are available if you dial-in to your CCSU VAX
account and use the Lynx browser.
