Each session is held in the Curriculum Laboratory Classroom, Third Floor, Burritt Library.
Each session begins at 11 a.m. and runs until noon.
These sessions are recommended for everyone!
Students, faculty, and staff are invited and encouraged to attend!

No registration is necessary!

Session I, Thursday February 27, 1997 11 am -- noon
UNLIMITED ELECTRONIC ACCESS TO THE ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANNICA

You may not yet know this, but one of the world's finest basic research tools is available through the CCSU Library's WWW Home Page http://library.ccsu.ctstateu.edu/lib
The Library has subscribed to the electronic Encyclopedia Britannica and made it available to members of the CCSU community! The online version has many "value added" features including hypertext links to reliable Web subject resources. Come to our demo and then start searching!

Session II, Thursday March 13, 1997 11 am -- noon
SEARCHING CONSULS

Do you know how to find what the CCSU Library owns? Learn to search CONSULS (Connecticut State University Library System). CONSULS has many functions of which you may not be aware or haven't used to maximum advantage. Explore CONSULS.

Session III, Wednesday April 9, 1997 11 am -- noon
FirstSearch:
INTRO TO AN EXPANDED VERSION OF DATABASE INFORMATION

The CCSU Library now offers access to 50 databases through the FirstSearch service. Come and partake of the information smorgasbord.
