International Critical Tables of Numerical Data, Physics, Chemistry and Technology
Online version of the classic and well-known reference originally published from 1926 - 1930 for the National Research Council. It contains an enormous amount of critical data on inorganic and organic compounds, and pure substances. Featuring physical, thermodynamic, mechanical, and other key properties, it is a major reference source used by those involved in chemistry, physics, and engineering.
Knovel Critical Tables
Contains tables of physical, solvent, and thermodynamic properties. The physical property tables alone include over 21,000 inorganic and organic compounds, and pure substances. The solvent property tables have data for 385 common solvents, and the thermodynamic property tables have data for over 15,000 compounds. Additionally, several tables make use of the interactive Equation Plotter to plot thermodynamic properties as a function of temperature.
Royal Society of Chemistry Journals Archive
Provides full-text access to all articles published by the Royal Society of Chemistry (and its forerunner Societies) from 1841 to 2004.
SciFinder Scholar
Provides access to the CAS database Chemical Abstracts (1947-present), Registry (1957-present), and CASREACT (from journals, 1985-present; from patents, 1991-present). Users may search by topic, author, CAS Registry Number, patent number, and CAS abstract Number.
Please Note: SciFinder is a client/server application. Please phone the Reference Desk (860-832-2060) or e-mail Debbie Herman (hermand@ccsu.edu) for the password and instructions for downloading and installing the software to use this database.
Smithsonian Physical Tables (9th rev. ed.)
Originally published by Smithsonian University Press, this classic reference source comprises 901 tables of general interest to scientists and engineers, and of particular interest to those involved with physics in its larger sense.
