Hello, Will. You’re not the only student who’s aired this concern and I can understand where you’re coming from. If it’s any consolation, the library will be open during the Spring 2013 semester until 11:45pm (an extra hour)a few days before Finals (Apr. 29 and 30; May 1 and 2) and during finals (May 6-8). I’m not sure we have the budget to be open 24 hours a day during finals week but I hope that this is possible in the future. Good luck with finals!

I think it’s a little ridiculous that the library operates under regular hours during finals. Has it occurred to the University that some students can’t study in there dorm rooms;the library is really the only alternative . During finals my previous college had library access 24 hrs a day…. Highly disappointed with the library hours In general,but during final this is defiantly disgruntling.

Disappointed library closed. What a perfect day to study at the library. I think the decision to close the day after storm was premature – the nature of this resourse to the school community is such that I believe it should be available if at all possible. If total power failure or other cataclysmic event prevents opening, so be it – the need and cause will probably be obvious to all and appropriate action can then be taken. Why mandate a negative impact?
