Overdue Books?? No worries, Library Amnesty Day is almost here!

Library Amnesty Day will be on Thursday May 2nd this semester so gather up all those forgotten library books and bring them on down to the library. NO OVERDUE FINES will be charged! That’s right, when your late books are returned this Thursday your existing fine on that item will be forgiven.

Therapy Dogs for Stress Relief

Join us on the 2nd floor of the Burritt Library for the great therapeutic effects of petting puppies!

We will have four trained therapy dogs visit us and help ease the stresses of final exams.

What Ever Happened to Sunday Dinner and Other Stories by Edward A. Iannuccilli

Dr. Iannuccilli is the author of the bestselling book: Growing up Italian, Grandfather’s Fig Tree and Other Stories and now his second book, What Ever Happened to Sunday Dinner and Other Stories. He is a former Chairman of the Board at Rhode Island Hospital, he is a Clinical Professor Emeritus at The Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University. Dr. Iannuccilli is a graduate of Providence College and Albany Medical College.
The event will also feature an exhibit of rare publications related to Italian history and culture from the library’s Special Collections and from the Italian Resource Center.

The lecture is free and the public is cordially invited.

Library to Lend Out Laptops!

The library has just received ten new laptops to lend out to the CCSU community! Available to check out for one day with a one day renewal, the laptops are equipped with wireless printing capabilities and all Citrix terminal features (Microsoft Word, etc.). It’s perfect for the times when your laptop is acting funny and you NEED to finish that paper, or if all of the libraries computers are filled.
