Finding Articles: Tips for Getting Started

Popular Research Databases

Here's a list of the most popular places to find magazine and scholarly journal articles. You can search for an article by topic (e.g., Haiti earthquake) or by title and/or author if you know it already. We recommend asking your professor or a librarian for guidance in developing the best search strategy for your topic or discipline.

If you already have a citation in hand, try our citation linker.

Please note that current issues are not included and there is a gap, from 1 to 5 years, between the most recent issue published and the most recent issue available in JSTOR. You must choose "Include only content I can access" to limit the search to articles the library owns.
