Spotlight on Eresources: 19th Century UK Periodicals

Did you know that the Burritt Library subscribes to numerous collections of online resources that are available to our students, faculty and staff from both on and off campus?  As a member of the CCSU community you have access to a wide range of databases, e-journals, eBooks and other tools to support you in your studies, research and teaching!  With so many resources available, it can be difficult to keep track of them all.  In our Spotlight series, we will highlight one of these resources each month to help connect our students and faculty with some of the unique resources available via the Elihu Burritt Library, and to offer some tips and tricks for using Spotlight on 19th Century UK Periodicals eresourcethem.  In our second installment of the Fall 2018 series, allow us to introduce you to 19th Century UK Periodicals:  https://libguides.ccsu.edu/spotlight/19thcenturyuk

ConnectU: Fall Into the Library

ConnectU: Fall Into the Library

The Burritt Library is teaming up with CTFD on the book “The Slow Professor” by Maggie Burg and Barbara Seeber.  Our hope, by hosting this faculty book discussion, is to provide faculty a way to connect with each other and discuss topics that are the most relevant to their lives given the changes and fast paced nature of academia these days.

We have copies of the book available on a first come, first serve basis for faculty that are interested in joining the discussion group.  If you are interested please email Kristina Edwards at kedwards@ccsu.edu.

Sessions:

October 4th: Chapters 1-2

October 24th: Chapter 3

November 15th: Chapters 4-5

Located in Special Collections on the second floor of the Burritt Library from 3:05-4:20pm!

NOTE: This project is made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, grant # RE-95-17-0068-17, in the Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Program
