Join us at the Human Library – April 3 and 4!

We invite you to join us at the Human Library taking place in the Burritt Library (2nd floor) on April 3rd & 4th. Human Library Participants

The Human Library is an event that encourages people from different backgrounds to talk with and learn from each other. The attendees, or “readers,” will join in a small group or one-on-one conversation with human “books” who have volunteered to share their unique stories. For more about being a human book reader, see: http://libguides.ccsu.edu/c.php?g=914868&p=6591484

You can meet with human books for up to 20 – 30 mins. at a time per session in order to have a conversation and ask questions about the “book’s” topic. There is no actual reading or presenting of real print books.

The library is a safe place to have some positive conversations to challenge stereotypes and prejudices, learn about a career, or just to get to know another individual.  For more information, go to: http://libguides.ccsu.edu/ccsuhumanlibrary or contact Susan Slaga-Metivier at slagas@ccsu.edu.
