Claims Returned Items

To put an item in CLAIMS RETURNED status, you need to be in the patron’s record and have all the checked out items visible on screen. Make sure to select “All” in the Loan Display Box.

  1. Drag your cursor to the claims returned item so it is highlighted in yellow.
  2. Click on “Actions.”
  3. Select “Claimed Return.”
  4. Add a note if necessary. Then click on “Ok.”
  5. Under Loan Status, it will say “Claimed Return.”

If the item is found, here’s how you change the status back in the patron’s record:

  1. Drag your cursor to the claims returned item so it is highlighted in yellow.
  2. Click on “Actions.”
  3. Select “Found Item.”
  4. Under Loan Status, it will say “Normal” or “Renewed.”
