"The Connecticut Americanizer"
The Connecticut Americanizer was printed on the first of every month to take information throughout the state. Its goal was to “condense Americanization news from nation, Connecticut’s Local Committee and Director’s Office at Hartford.” Americanization workers had a need for a periodical giving constructive information and was the first of its kind in any state. It was not intended to be a newspaper but rather a circle for keeping people informed on what was happening in the State Department.
It was issued with 4 pages and originally mailed only to chairmen and members of local Americanization Committees, superintendents of schools, chambers of commerce and interested industrial plants.
