Description
While typically postcards of this era depict scenery of wildlife or buildings, this one has a family in the picture. The picture is off the north side of Governor Street, which Gov. Lounsbury had a home built. Maps of the town reveal that the house of the left was owned by J. W. Rockwell, and the people in the photo could have been him and his two daughters. The building in the background was also originally owned by the Rockwells but turned into a vintage school for girls. The paper held in the hand of the girl furthest on the right is speculated to be a diploma.
