Off Campus Access Trouble

Please note** as of 3 p.m. we are having difficulty with off-campus access of our library electronic resources.

Please follow the instructions below to access library resources until access can be restored.

  1. Go to apps.ccsu.edu
  2. Log on to the citrix server with your bluenet credentials
  3. Choose the “IT” folder
  4. Choose the “desktop-lib” icon from the menu

This will allow you to use the library resources as if you are on-campus.

2017 Elihu Burritt Library Research Awards

The Elihu Burritt Library Research Awards recognize excellence in undergraduate and graduate research papers/projects as well as skill and creativity in the application of library services, resources and collections. A prize of $350 will be awarded to an undergraduate and graduate student during the 2017 spring semester at the University Research and Creative Achievement  (URCAD).  *Please note that for graduate students, this applies to class assignments and not the final program thesis/project.

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be enrolled during the spring 2017 semester as a Central Connecticut State University student at any class level or discipline/major.
  • Have completed their research paper or project for a credit course during the spring, summer, or fall semesters in 2016.
  • Agree that the paper or project and application materials will become property of Elihu Burritt Library and may be publicly displayed in the library and/or library website.

THE WARS OF THE ROOSEVELTS

Meet William J. Mann the author of The Wars of the Roosevelts: The Ruthless Rise of America’s Greatest Political Family

Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 7:00 p.m.

Special Collections, Elihu Burritt Library, 2nd floor

William J. Mann, is ’84 CCSU alumnus and a historian of the American film industry and the American presidency. He’s written several biographies and narrative nonfiction, including Tinseltown: Murder, Morphine, and Madness at the Dawn of Hollywood, for which he received the 2015 Edgar Award for Best Fact Crime. In the 1990s he was editor of Metroline, Connecticut’s LGBT newsweekly, and is currently an adjunct Professor of History at CCSU.

The author will be signing copies of the book. Reception following.

The lecture is sponsored by the Friends of the Library and is free and open to the public.  Free parking on campus.
