BLACK HISTORY MONTH

The Elihu Burritt Library presents a small sampling of publications on African American topics from its holdings. Topics include biographies, politics, slavery, health, wellness, and entertainment.

The exhibit is on view till the end of February and exhibit cases are located on 2nd and 3rd floor.  

Spring Semester Hours Begin 01/19/22

The library will be closed on Monday, January 17, 2022, in observance of the Martin Luther King Day holiday. The library will be open winter intersession hours through Tuesday, January 18, 2022 (8am-4:45pm).

The library will be open for regular Spring semester hours starting on Wednesday, January 19, 2022:

  • Monday-Thursday: 8am-10:45pm
  • Friday: 8am-4:45pm
  • Saturday: 9am-3:45pm
  • Sunday: 2pm-9:45pm

The library is pleased to announce its latest online newsletter, The Burritt Connection, Fall/Winter 2021. It can be viewed in the “Heyzine flipbook format” or via accessible PDF.

COVID Emergency – Library Operations Will Be Remote Only Mon., 1/3/22, Building Open for the Rest of the Week, Services Online

The Elihu Burritt Library building will be closed on Monday, January 3, 2022 as CCSU switches to remote operations due to an increase in Covid infections. Librarians will remain online during our regular hours – 8am-5pm – via the chat Ask a Librarian system.

Update 01/03/22: Remote operations move back to in-person mode on Tuesday, 01/04/22.

For the remainder of the winter session, library services will be offered virtually, using low / no-touch interaction methods, such as online chat and self-pickup (so-called “curbside pickup”) for physical materials, along with digitization and emailing of course reserves. Holiday Library Closings

We hope you all have a happy & healthy holiday break! The library will be closed for the holidays on:

  • Friday, December 24
  • Friday, December 31

We also wanted to remind you that the library is currently on reduced hours for the winter intersession (closed on Saturdays & Sundays; open 8am-4:45pm M-F).
