One of the most common questions that we are receiving is how to log into new system. There is a lot of confusion between Blue Net ID’s and email addresses, and the @ccsu.edu vs. the @my.ccsu.edu and the list goes on. We have even have students end up back in consuls.org. If they end up at consuls.org, I tell them to clear their cache, history or even try another browser. (PRIMO does not like IE.)
The trick I found that clarifies this in the student’s mind is to tell them to use the log in for Pipeline. Then tell them that the @ccsu.edu is just identifying them as being a CCSU student.
And here are some screenshots that might help to walk them through logging in:
- From the Library Homepage, click the big Blue Button to get to our new system.
- When you get to this screen, hover over GUEST and click SIGN IN
-
- Click CCSU Users
- USE your BLUENET ID@ccsu.edu, not your email address or @my.ccsu.edu
When you have SUCCESSFULLY logged in, your name will appear in the upper right corner.
Be sure to do this every time you log in, because it will allow you to view the most content, see items within our consortium, view articles in databases, etc.
