Take amount due and key into the register without using a decimal point
Hit the fines key
Then key into register the amount given to you by the patron
Hit the at/tl key
Register will open. Put money in and make correct change if needed.
To simply open the register, hit “NS” for “No Sale.”
Example:
Fine is $2.00
Patron gives you a $5.00 bill
key in 200
hit fines key
key in 500
hit at/tl key
place $5.00 bill in proper slot and give patron back $3.00
